The commentator urged caution over the Paratici situation, despite acknowledging that rumors over recent weeks cannot be ignored. “He signed a sporting director contract unlike any I’ve ever heard of — long-term with significant responsibilities and a clear rebuilding philosophy,” Brovarrone said.
However, the real issue, according to Brovarrone, is the sense of weakness Fiorentina continues to project to the outside world. “This transfer market is usually quiet from the management side, but this year it’s been completely public, and through major sources like Sport Mediaset and Gianluca Di Marzio. The problem is that Italian football now sees Fiorentina as a weak club,” he explained. Brovarrone did not hold back: “What happens at Fiorentina wouldn’t be tolerated anywhere else.
