UEFA’s top club competition will find a new broadcasting home for its finals as LiveMode TV, a YouTube channel launched in Portugal less than a year ago, secures the rights to co-broadcast the UEFA Champions League final matches from the 2027/28 season through to 2030/31.
According to sources close to the deal, LiveMode will share the coverage of the decisive final with Sport TV. The latter will divide the rights for the rest of the competition’s matches with DAZN, although Sport TV maintains first pick for Tuesday and Wednesday fixtures. Meanwhile, DAZN has secured exclusive rights to broadcast both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League.
This move marks a significant step for digital platforms in the world of live football broadcasting, allowing fans to access high-stakes Champions League finals directly through YouTube without requiring traditional cable subscriptions. The arrangement promises to expand viewership and offer a more accessible experience for younger audiences.
The final will be the only match in the tournament aired by LiveMode, with the rest of the knockout rounds and group stage remaining under the existing broadcast agreements.
