
The reigning Copa del Rey champions have mathematically clinched their place in the 2025-26 Liga Endesa playoffs, following Surne Bilbao Basket’s loss to Hiopos Lleida.
Kosner Baskonia has guaranteed its spot in the Playoff de la Liga Endesa 2025-26 with five games remaining in the regular season. Paolo Galbiati’s team needed only Surne Bilbao Basket’s defeat at Barris Nord to mathematically secure their ticket to the title eliminations.
With a record of 20 wins in 29 games, the Basque side is enjoying a strong season. Trent Forrest, MVP of the Copa del Rey, has been a key figure for the team throughout the campaign. Alongside him, Luwawu-Cabarrot continues to lead the Endesa scoring charts, averaging 18.2 points per game, according to the ACB.
**Five Teams Already Qualified**
The next goal for the Basques is to challenge for the Top 2. Alongside Baskonia, four other teams have already qualified for the ACB playoffs: Real Madrid, UCAM Murcia, Valencia Basket, and Barcelona.
The remaining three spots will be contested by four teams: Joventut (17 wins, 11 losses), La Laguna Tenerife (17-12), Unicaja Málaga (16-13), and Surne Bilbao Basket (16-14).
