According to Rooney, Doku has learned to be more selfish in the final third, a crucial development that has elevated his game. The former Manchester United striker highlighted how the Belgian’s increased willingness to shoot and take on defenders has made him a more complete attacker.
“He’s now adding goals to his game, and that makes him a real threat,” Rooney said. “If he continues like this, he can definitely help City win the league.”
